        I RARELY EAT
chicken in Norway. The quality is just disgustingly bad. Industrial production implies high protein fodder and animals that hardly have any room to move. This effectively destroys any attempt to get tasteful, juicy meat. With chickens eating natural food like insects, and walk around all the day it’s a different story. Worth to mention is also the quality of eggs from hens walking freely around.

They are far tastier than their industrial produced counterparts and have a firm yellow and tasteful yoke. We buy our chickens at a local farm, and keep them walking freely around our dacha the whole stay. Chicken fried in gas oven just coated with some light herbal salt makes a feast! Serve it with a garlic soup based on the gravy from the chicken and oven baked bread, and you have a winner. A big sweet tomato from the garden will give an extra juicy experience for your taste buds.
